Introduction
Harmonixly is a free online chord progression builder operated by Brainbox. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
What Information We Collect
Harmonixly collects only the data necessary to provide its core functionality:
- Account information: When you log in using Google or Facebook, we receive your display name, email address, and profile picture from that provider. We do not collect passwords or other credentials.
- Progression data: Your chord progressions, saves, and preferences are stored locally in your browser. When you log in, these may also be stored on our servers so you can access them from any device.
- Usage data: We may collect basic server logs (IP address, browser type, referrer, timestamps) for security and debugging purposes. These logs are retained for up to 90 days.
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide and maintain the Harmonixly service
- Authenticate your identity and manage your account
- Store and sync your progressions across devices
- Improve the application and fix bugs
- Ensure the security and integrity of our platform
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
Third-Party Services
Harmonixly uses the following third-party services:
- Google Sign-In: If you log in with Google, your data is handled according to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Facebook Login: If you log in with Facebook, your data is handled according to Facebook's Data Policy.
We only request the minimum permissions needed for authentication (name, email, profile picture). We do not access your social media posts, friends list, or other personal content.
Data Storage
Your progression data is stored in a SQLite database on our servers. We implement industry-standard measures to protect your data, including access controls and session token encryption.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your progression data
Data Deletion
To request deletion of your account and all associated data, email us at hello@archanium.net. We will process deletion requests within 30 days. You can also delete your cloud saves at any time from the app's account menu.
Cookies
Harmonixly uses a single session cookie (harmonixly_session) to maintain your logged-in state. This cookie is secure, HTTP-only, and expires after 30 days of inactivity. No tracking or analytics cookies are used.
Children's Privacy
Harmonixly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at hello@archanium.net.
